Silly Mammo, one of the most famous Ethiopian folktales, is about a boy who after his first day of work loses his pay and after a scolding from his mother remembers to put his pay in his pocket. Unfortunately on the 2nd day he is paid in milk and he loses the milk. The story continues through a number of mishaps until he cures a girl. The book contains both English and Amharic text.

Silly Mammo was published by Ethiopia Reads and proceeds go to support Ethiopia Reads efforts to open libraries in Ethiopia.
